Last time OK won the blue course?

Mook asked: How did Texas go? (snip).... Did Dan clean up on the blue course....(snip)? Seems it has been a while since an OKer won the blue course at an A-meet!

I was putting away some "O" trophies this afternoon. One of Mike's awards was 1st place, M21A, Georgia Navigator Cup, 1997. Has anyone won a blue course since then?

If the results posted to the web are to be believed, Dan won the blue course in Texas! Isn't that correct?

If memory serves, Mook has won at least one blue course day over the past couple of years.

Trivia ? Who was the first (or previous) OKer to win a Texas A meet blue course? First correct answer gets free entry to the State Chumps. . .

I'll take Dave "Legs" Linthicum.

Magnus W. won the blue course at a Chicago A-meet in the Fall of 1998.

I have two strong memories of the blue course in Chicago. On the first day Magnus started several minutes behind me and caught me at the first control (which I contend was not quite in the correct location). On the second day I had a strong run and got my revenge on Magnus (though he still beat me overall).

I don't know how the rumors got started that I won in Texas. I can assure you I did not do the same blue course that everyone else did. The times that were posted on day one do not match the web results either for everybody. I guess based on these two items that the results were a random event and to get the odds of me winning divide one by the number of competitors (whether they were there or not) on the blue course.

I don't know if anyone answered Gene's trivia question correctly, but among the many bombshells Gene drops in his recent interview with UOKH is the answer to his question.
