HAS ANYONE ELSE SEEN THIS????

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Electric Utilities and Y2K : One Thread

Hey everyone,

Does anyone else get the Sangers Review? Did you click on the link they provided to a REAL AUDIO show about Y2K? You better. It's a blockbuster! It's about the last Y2K symposium just held in NY. It seems all the gov. agencies attended (including Kosky's office) and they all publicly admitted that the sh.t is about to hit the fan. They also had a concensus that it would last somewhere between 12-18 MONTHS!

Am I the only one to have seen this? (actually "heard" it) By the way, you have to have the Real Audio program installed on your pc (you get it for free from their website).

Here is the URL for the program - http://www.audiocentral.com/rshows/mir/default.html

Click on "Y2K End Game" and get ready for some serious head shaking!

Comments anyone (or are the "pollies" going to poo-poo this type of factual info too?)

Rick,

Sorry if I didn't include the words electric utilities but the symposium does cover that too!

Thanks for the info. A very eye opening report!

Thanks, Jeff. This is an amazing report.

Rick, do you know of another person who attended this meeting so we can get confirmation of these comments from this reporter?

Thanks for the information! So, in the same day I listen to a fairly reputable reporter answer questions in a very convincing way that the government has been covering up Y2k all along and they all know that we're in for trouble AND President Clinton has a press conference to let us all know that there is nothing to Y2k, no problems, no worries. Decisions, decisions - who the heck am I going to believe? Oh, by the way, at the end of the conference he also assured us that he never even knew anyone named Monica! ;)

Time to buy more canned food.

Thanks, Jeff! I've put a link over on CNN Year 2000 Bug forum. Didn't mention you by name, but did mention Rick Cowles' Energyland Electric Utilities and Y2K forum. (hope that was ok, Rick...) -Jim Young

Not drawing any conclusions as to the accuracy of this, but follow the link back to McAlvany's site, and you'll find a goldbug. Just something to bear in mind. I wish I could find a corroborating account of this event.

The reporter is *not* a goldbug, merely the guest of a goldbug!

Thanks, Thinman & Bill Spengler. I should have checked that. You guys are absolutely right. Without confirmation, this material loses virtually all credibility. It already bothered me that specifics were missing as to Who said Exactly What to Whom...Jim Young.

Jim, Here is some backup info you might be interested in. This is the URL for the actual conference (and conference holders). This info is courtesy of Bonnie Camp, bless her heart (and her family's).

If you click on the link for the Nov. conference, it will show you the speakers, the agenda, etc.. This thing is for real! Jeff

Thanks, Jeff, for your update. Yes, I do believe it is a real conference, and I sure wasn't implying anything about your efforts at all...this is certainly a noteworthy item. I did post the two audio links over on CNN's Year 2000 Bug, but unfortunately they did not generate as much interest as I'd hoped. And I emailed ABC trying to get more info, but of course they won't reply. Much appreciate what you've provided; I'm sure I'm not alone in that!

Have a good night, Jeff! (with the 7 cats? we have 3, lost one dear old one, Mandy, to renal in march...) -Jim

Jeff,

I didn't see a link to a November conference. Help.

Steve,

Ooooooops! I think that should have said OCTOBER (not Nov.). Sorry for the screw-up.
