Color correction for EPSON 750

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

Color prints from my new Epson 750 photo printer are much more saturated than what my monitor (or even the actual photo print) shows. Blue skies specially end up really dark and unnatural. Do I need to caliberate the printer (tweak the gamma?) to get true color reproduction? I have tried the different PC compatible color management features with no success.

Thanx in advance

I have a similar problem, but mine are in the shadows. What color correction are you using? I have tried PhotoRealistic and PhotoEnhance 2 with nasty prints. ICM gives me the best results, but calibrating the monitor has been a pain in the butte. You aren't alone with this...

I've also tried all the different color correction modes - Photo- realistic looked the best among all. Plan to spend a weekend playing with the CMY settings in this mode and see what results I get...I'll post the results here
