Potential Bonus Locations

Came across a good one this weekend, while helping out the girl scouts. :)

Prince William Forest Park, off of Joplin Road (near Exit 150, I-95) is a National Park, complete with visitor center and stamp! Damn, in my own backyard, even!

Joplin Road is one of my favorite backroads in the area, nice and curvy, but heavily wooded. It'd be nice if we could figure out a way to make the rallyists WANT to take it rather than just hop back on the interstate...Hmm, maybe scratch the park and put a bonus at the other end.... :)

I know what you mean.

I rode down to and over rt56 this passed Saturday. I'd like to set a bonus in Montebello (one gas station) as it is mid-way and you definitely have to deal with twisty roads to get there.

Last weekend I stopped by at the Lewes end of the Cape May/Lewes Ferry. They said that without a reservation, the odds aren't good for getting on the ferry during peak season, even on a motorcycle. But I did get a 35 cent post card and a receipt! :-)

Along with bonuses, and the idea of progressive values of bonuses, remember in the IB they had riders tackeling all the bridges in NYC? We could do something similar. Unfortunately (or actually fortunately) the bridges in DC don't have tolls or receipts, but the bridges/tunnels in Baltimore do.

I will be heading up to Rochester on Thursday, and Philly on Sunday. I'll keep my eyes open for bonus possibilities.
