Super Takumar Coating

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Pentax 67 SLR : One Thread

I've noticed that my Super Takumar 67 lens has two different colors reflected from it when turned just right. It has magenta and amber colors which may indicate a two layer coating. Does anyone know how many layers were put on these pre-SMC lenses? SR

FYI, Super-Takumar lenses were made from 1969 through 1972. After that, they were all seven layer coated and called SMC Takumar and SMC Pentax.
