Why EZ CD Creator Records @ X2 when I have X4 Recordable CD-RW

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Hi, I have Yamaha 4416 4xWrite/4xRewrite/16xRead and EZ CD Creator 4. When I go to tools, CD Drive Properties, it say I have Yamaha CRW4416S (correctly) but the maximum recording speed is show @ x2 (no option for changing it to x4 from drop down menu). I have the 3.5c Normal version installed, but that one shows correct speed. Anyone encounter similar problem? Feedback highly appreciated. Send me and email for if you can: mailto:rj@cybercomputers.com

Thanks,.

could be that your media doesn't support 4X?

It's better to record VCD at 2X anyways

Agreed on the need to record vcds @ 2x speed. I have found that recording at higher speeds often results in numerous glitches...
