A note to all who believed in me...

Hello everyone! Wow, I haven't been here in quite a while. Some of you may remember that I had mentioned that I wanted to become an actress (I had mentioned it on a TitanicChat at Mr. Showbiz while a few of you were there), and at the time it may have been far fetched - coming from a 13 year old girl. But I knew that if I wanted it bad enough, I could do it. I'm 14 now, and have landed the title role in a film being held in production now!! I just want to thank all of you who told me to follow my dreams, because I have not forgotten the words of inspiration I got from all of you. Thank you for believing in me! I just got back from some script reading, and I was sitting there on the set, I thought "this is where I have always wanted to be." I remember seeing a picture of Kate Winslet, Billy Zane, Leonardo DiCaprio, and some other actors on the set (the stern of the ship) and it was a behind the scenes look, so all the camera equipment was visible. I printed out the pic, put it in my diary and said "this is where I want to be. I want to have cameras around me, I want to see 50 crewmen behind each set of equipment, I want to fulfill my hearts passion. And I know I can do it if I believe in myself." Exact words. And as I sat there with cameras around me and 50 crewmen behind each set of equipment, I knew that I pursued my dream, filled my hearts passion. I want all of you to know that from the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in me, too, for not telling me that I was being silly, that a 13 year old girl could never make it - what were the chances? I want you to know that if you put your heart and soul into it, if you believe in it, if you want it bad enough, anything can happen. ANYTHING! Thank you to all of you!!!!! SO MUCH!!!! And, I'll see you in the movies....:-)

CONGRATULATIONS, Kelly!!!! It is so exciting to achieve your biggest goal. What movie will we be seeing you in?

Hi Lynae! Thanks, so much! REALLY!! It's an independent film that will be going to the Los Angeles Film Institute Awards in Hollywood and will be up for a couple awards. If it wins anything there, off we go to the Sundance Film Festival then to Cannes! If we win anything at the Cannes Film Festival then we'll be given $500,000 to put the movie in the big theaters, but mostly you'll see it at independent theaters (like the Edwards Cinemas we have down the street from me that plays those sort of films). My next goal is the Academy Awards! :-) We're starting out the same way "Patch Adams" started out - and my director worked on that film! It just all seems so unreal, you know? But I knew all I had to do was follow my heart. We start shooting our first on camera scenes tomorrow! EEEK! I'm so excited! Thank you so much for your support!!!:-)

Kelly:

Congratulations! I've been working on a movie, as well, which has taken huge amounts of my time (and explains why it took me this long to write this reply).
