Where did the money come from that wa against I695?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : I-695 Thirty Dollar License Tab Initiative : One Thread

Was this money generated by government employee's? Its scarey to think that they could generate that much more money than the public sector that was for I695. The thought of Government getting so big that they could out found and vote the public....WOW

Now this is an interesting question. How can we find out exactly where that money came from. There must be a list somewhere that we could get. How many people contributed that are Government employees against this? Then we should start looking also at how the Government employees vote for other issues that keep them safely employed with our tax monies. Mich

The campaign for or against any candidate or ballot proposition, must file a report with the Public Disclosure Commission. I believe the final report is due 30 days after the election, and will include the source of contributions. You can get the information off the PDC website, once it is filed and posted.

How you find out if the contributors are government employees, I don't know. Why that would be important to you, I don't know. They have as much right to campaign and contribute as anyone else. Maddjak is a state employee, I believe, and is entitled to support 695 without fear of being disiplined by supervisors. The same should apply to the opposition, who should not fear being targeted by voters.
