I am in the market for a digital camera, not having one at present. Though these cameras represent two different "platforms", in relation to still shots, how do they compare as regards resolution, etc.? I cannot afford to buy both. Would the JVC be a reasonable substitution for a good still digital camera? Thanks for your help.
