Y2K Worries Will Be Put To Rest on November 16th at DCHFA's Home Resource Center; Experts Will Advise Renters and Homeowners on Possible Effects of 'The Bug' And Offer Prevention Information
WASHINGTON, Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The public is invited to a workshop taking place at DCHFA's Home Resource Center, 815 Florida Ave., NW on November 16th at 10 a.m.
Housing industry and utility experts will answer questions like, ``Could my credit be affected?'' ``How much water should I store?'' or ``Will there be problems with my mortgage or rental payments?'' and ``Will the power go out?''
Representatives from PEPCO, the Department of Emergency Preparedness, Washington Gas, Washington Water and Sewer, banks, mortgage lenders, security companies and more will be on hand to answer questions and offer advice.
``People are very concerned about Y2K so we decided to bring all the experts together and get the answers,'' said Gwen Adams, the workshop organizer and Manager of DCHFA's Mortgage Loan Department.
