Park your car that needs tabs until January and ride the bus!! YOU PAID FOR IT ALREADY!!!!!!!!!

And in January your tabs will be cheaper.

Just think how pissed the regular bus riders will be when you crowd them off of the buses you have PAID for!!

to theman: where in I695 does it say we are voting to eliminate the busses??? In a worst case scenario, Metro and CT will lose maybe 30% of funding from the MVET. Of course, if you listen to them, all of the busses will have to sit idle for years and the fares will go up 200%, and only those busses going to downtown Seattle or Bellevue will actually have service cuts.

Haven't you figured it out yet that what the anti-695 people are feeding us is pure BS! There may be some transit cuts, but only to the less profitable runs like the 3:00am run from Northgate to Pioneer Square, or the Swamp Creek to Canyon Park express at 2:15am.

The transit perople are NOT going to cut the runs that generate the most revenue. That would be just plain stupid and totally lacking in any fiscal common sense. Oops... given the fact government employees are making those decisions, maybe they will cut those runs.... I guess I'll just have to use my car with the $30 tabs!!!!

Actually, if busses were run by a private, for-profit companies, the money loosing runs would have already been eliminated. But the busses are subsidized government monopolies, and decisions about operations are political, not based on cost effectiveness. So expect service cuts to maximize impacts, not minimize cost. Washington Monument Syndrome.

Well, I am originally from Michigan and we pay only $32.00 for tabs. You know what is happening there??? EVERY SINGLE highway has repairs on it!!! "How can this be?", you may ask. I will tell you. BUDGETING!!! They know when and where on the highways they will be working. Amazing what happens when politicians have to keep a budget! Lets see if Washington voters will make there politicians held accountable. I know I will be voting at lunch to say "Stick it" to that annoying Boeing worker on the TV commericial!! I have never seen in all my years of my father working for General Motors, a member of the union going AGAINST his brothers and sisters! GO I- 695!!
