Can I play VCD burned on CD-R on Pioneer DV-525P

Any one has personally tried to do this ? The website says you can but have you been successful. If so, did you use a particular CD-R? quick response is highly appreciated.

Yes, I made VCD CDR from Yamaha 4416S and Adaptec Easy CD Creator 3.5c. The CDR is Maxell and runs ok on Pioneer DV-525P.

I have a DV-525 and use ASTARTE M.Pack 3.0.1 on my mac to burn a video cd on my cheap CD-R. The video looks ok, but the sound is crap. I took the same CD to the store and only the high Sony DVD player would play my vcd with good sound quality. So is it my encoding, my DVD player, by cheap cd-r? If the sony can play it with good sound quality and my dv-525 has crappy sound, then it must be my DVD player, right???

Aghh, this is confusing.

Anybody else making home burned Video CDs on a CD-R on a Mac and having sucess?
