I don't know about you all, but I'm right tired of the world as we know it....Can't wait for the sound of them cosmic keys jingling and that big voice boomin' across the skies, "Gentlemen....its closin' time." and the Spirit and the bride say, "Come, Lord Jesus!"

Yes, but they changed the locks on the Innkeeper while he was gone, and he's being forced to break into his own place.... he'll wring their miserable necks. Get under a table. Put on your ring.

As to the world .... sometimes I feel that way, but the world as I know it has been a place of unimitigated charms and strange beauties. Come it must, I suppose, but I will miss the peace -- which has not been just an illusion of peace, but real too.

Jay,

Maybe it's just that you've become a dinosaur in this world, incapable of adaptation. So instead you want the world to bend to your will. Needless to say that is an excersice in futility.

Not to mention that it's obvious that your infected with the Western belief in the Apocalypse, which I might add, is NOT the belief of the majority of the world.

This fine bait brought to you courtesy of Project Megeddo.

This culture offers us corporate slavery and snickers bars, two car garages and shiney chains. The people are such contented cattle they'll never wake up to the fact that we need a revolution.I pray that y2k will bring teotwaWki bad enough that we loose the trust that has enabled us to be so complacently enslaved. Our numbers are too high anyway,if our species is lucky it'll be a few billion dead and not just a few million. The species doesn't need you or me just enough genetic diversity to ensure survival.Maybe then our species won't suicide like it appears to be so eager to do.

to all you wonderful flamers...My perspective is an indefensible position, much like being a GI..time will tell if what I have put my trust in bears out. By the way..what are YOU trusting in? I think I'll stick with what has proved over the past 30 years of my humble existence to be the real deal, Lucille. Here's hoping Confucius, Allah, Mohammed, and that untold host of other gods prove as dependable to you all as my God has been to me.

Jig's up, Jay.

mrunderhill.....I agree with you - this has been a beautiful world filled with wonders and amazements that defy description, but we are due for an upgrade, my friend; a trustworthy source has promised "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." wonder what THAT will be like, hmmm?

-- Jay Urban (Jayho99@aol.com), November 01, 1999.

yes,by all means delete anything that does not conform with a safe little world.for me freedem of unfettered speech is one of the few things worth dying for. We've had dynastical decline for long enough.Time for a change.life will continue for enough to continue the species and for the others...the topsoil needs fertilizer.I pray to whatever god is listening for a severe eotwawki.

That was cool Jay,- Any friend of THE God is a friend of mine. Jesus says, "As the lightening flashes across the sky from East to West so shall my coming be, when I, The Messiah, Return." Yes, yes! Come, Lord Jesus!

Anybody who can make a distinction between God, Muhhamed, Buddha or Allah does not understand religion at all. They are all one and the same with different names. The difference is what you believe about the world around you. Some people have unfortunately been duped into thinking that there is a "special people" that are on God's "A- List". And no that notion isn't limited to x-tians, but you have to admit the notion is alot stronger with them. In fact I heard once that if you are told about the story of Jesus and you deny it then you are surely going to hell. (Kind of sounds like the "GI" story about Y2K doesn't it?).

While much of the focus related to the millennium has been linked to the prospect of computer failures, Gallagher intends to advise the police chiefs this week that it is important to prepare now for the unusually wide range of interpretations people may bring to random events occurring on or near Jan. 1, 2000, and the role that the Internet may play in spreading information or misinformation rapidly.

"The name 'Megiddo,' " the FBI report begins, "is an apt title for a project that analyzes those who believe the year 2000 will usher in the end of the world and who are willing to perpetrate acts of violence to bring that end about."

"Anybody who can make a distinction between God, Muhhamed, Buddha or Allah does not understand religion at all. They are all one and the same with different names." Been reading your Gita,eh'? Sorry Jackie, but Buddha was just a man and never claimed any supernatural or divine influences or insights.Everything he experienced can be obtained through human effort. To imply a homogeneity to all religions is to ignore what makes different religions special and unique. Some people will always fall into the dogma trap with any doctrinal theology but their are beautful distinctions. Now if you had said that there is a one world myth, then I'd be there with ya!

-- zoobie (zoobiezoob@yahoo.com), November 01, 1999.

Okay you got me,

It was a good thought that could have been presented better. A one world myth with lots of different names it shall be.

-- Jackie Chan (who@am.I), November 01, 1999.

It's too bad you two couldn't hang around with Joseph Campbell and swap myths around a campfire.

Joseph Campbell could learn nothing new from me,I've learned everything I know about myth from him.He was the all-time myth grand master.
