"bulb mode"

I am looking for digital camera to do night photography, Is there any brand that have a "bulb mode". I read news from toshiba and fuji, but the models only have 1, 4, or 8 seconds maximum. Do you know something about?, thanks

I uderstand the digital cameras really don't do good night pictures. They get scared at night! They also are very slow, normally around 100 asa. Faster rating will yield pixalation... colored spots in the photo. I have yet to try it. Only what others have said.

I provided a book answer last time and then realized I had the capability to try out some of these problems. Last night, I set up my Nikon CP 950 in front of a figurine and used a flash light to 'paint' a picture. The results were much more pleasing than I thought. Take a look under "Low Light Demo" topic on my web site. Home Page

If the link notation did not work, then just copy the link into the address line.

Actually 8 seconds will take record some interesting low light situations.
