greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

It's almost November and time for another state of the herd report. I will post tomorrow on the burgh. Got to get to bed, just thought I would start the thread.

This is what pollies are reduced to: scrawling their "tag" like vandals over the posts of those whose opinions they fear?

It's not "censorship" guys - it's cleaning up after children.

The canned goods section of the local grocery stores have looked like swiss cheese for the past two weeks. Paper goods asile the same. The strangest thing i've noticed is, all the places spring up along the roads selling spilt firewood. In winters past you had to order it from someone. Ther where few places, you could just pull your truck in and buy it. Not the case this year. One final note, Just had the last upgrade to our puter system for the rollover at the old job site. Last night I used it. The date? ..... 10/29/99! What could this mean???????????? :) Here in the Burgh. GO STEELERS! Congrats NY.

Flame away, I was at my store this morning, I did not see this. The shelves were impeccable stocked. No problem here. What is your point. Could it be that you have a busy store that does not have time to straighten their shelves?

stores are well stocked here in dc area. about the firewood--there was a man and his son who were attempting to sell firewood here a week or so ago going house to house (i hate to see them get nowhere-tough life) and i told him to make sure he comes back the last week of december and into january because of y2k and he will sell lots of wood. he didn't realize.
