smart/flash media connect to Mac G3

I'm looking into buying a dig still camera and I'm, (me thinks a bit) confused about downloading images to my Mac for editing or printing or whatever. I now know that there are the two different types of storage (most common) Smart and Flash; and readers for one and/or both. I believe that PCMIA is faster to download that either SCSI, serial or USB. My G3 is SCSI and serial equiped, so I'd prefer SCSI. Can I get a "universal" reader for SCSI or USB or a "univeral" PSMIA for SCSI or USB? I haven't yet decided on the camera, but it's all related resear

Fritz, your best opton is to get a USB PCI card ($30) for your G3, and the Microtech USB Universal card reader ($70) that can read both Smartmedia and Compact Flash cards. Believe me, image transfer by USB is plenty fast. As far as I know, there're no SCSI card readers on the mar
