At 11:21 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, a fire was reported at the Conoco complex. Two people were treated at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center and have been transported to an Oklahoma City burn center. Their condition is not immediately known. A tank caught fire in the Conoco tank farm. The fire has been contained to one tank and others do not seem to be in danger according to Conoco officials on the site. A very light debris from the fire has been scattered as far as three miles from the site. Ponca City civil defense officials say monitoring equipment indicates there is no toxic danger from the fire, however they are asking people to stay indoors and turn off their air conditioners.
