Is this old news? Is it already threaded? Can someone tell me how this is irrelevant? By the way, this is from CSY2K.

I wrote only the English part of the six bid areas. Pardone me. Cheers, AGF STS056-103-099 Buenos Aires, Argentina April 1993 With a population of 12.2 million people, Buenos Aires has become the world's tenth largest metropolitan complex, with approximately 35 percent of the country's population residing in the greater Buenos Aires conurbation. Situated on the southwestern end of the Rio de la Plata at the mouth of the Parana and Uruguay Rivers and the northeastern edge of the pampas (Argentina's most productive agricultural region), Buenos Aires has access to south-central South America and the rest of the world. Tostissimo would be the Italian, I believe, but it does carry the superlative connotation, which appears to be warranted here.

The genius behind all of this, namely the mayor of Buenos Aires was just elected the president of the entire country. Current president Carlos Menim I think will hand over the responsibility in early December.

I hope all you gringos realize that Argentina in the early 1900's was one of the top ten nations in the world. Eva Peron and her gang got control and did Federal giveaways until the economy tanked and now they are nowhere near their original glory.

They are toast anyway you slice it. Anyone know what the U.S. imports from them?

I believe that beef - the corned and canned variety - figures high on their list of exports. Of other exports I know not.

Better load up on the corned beef.
