The blues are gorgeous. So if U can keep them that away ( by cropping out the grass), I would like to hang it on my wall.

The long exposure and reciprosity failure gave you a nice pastel effect, is there any way of getting more light on the rock? Like longer exposure or different time of night? Pat

Very cool colors. I love the otherworldly look of the water. I agree, though about cropping out the grass. It is somewhat distracting. I also think shortening the time of exposure may have produced a slightly darker, moodier image that also would have been interesting. Not necessarily better, but different.

I disagree with the others about the cropping of the grass; it is flat without it. I would crop a little more off the top to bring a balance with the blue sky and the yellow grass. To each his own!

Thanks for the nice remarks. I've tried any number of crops on this picture, and I haven't liked it with no grass. There is no "detail" in the surf at all (30 minutes: duh!) and I like to have something in the foreground. It'd be nice if the grass had stayed still during the exposure, tho...

Alan, this is awell executed shot. I love the ethereal look to the water and rock. As for the crop, with or without the grass it is an excellent image, just two different looks. I think without the grass it would give it more of a mysterious look, with the grass anchors it to the real world. Your patience paid off well! Donna

This is a really wonderful image. The blues are great. I like the grass. Great job, in my newbie opinion.
