Editing Package

less than $3000? I have to agree with the iMac DV SE, and if you can find it cheap DEFINITELY Final Cut Pro. You can find it for less than $600 on ebay, but make sure its an unregistered original copy. Final Cut Pro is a hundred times better than any other software based system I have ever seen. I would strongly warn against using EditDV its crap... -Aaron

Just a couple of questions from a novice. What's the diff between Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro? What about the new DVD Studio Pro? Has anyone checked it out yet?

I am also in the position of choosing either an XL1 or XM1 (GL1 in the US?) and can't spot the diff. Any opinions?
