King County has listed on their Web page many new ordinances raising the fees of various services. The ordinances are numbered one after the other and reads like a shopping list of "don't forgets". I realize this comes when they proposed the new budget, but I dont see the connection between the two. Is the connection closer to the timing of I-695. There are more dogs, for example, in King County than last year or the year before. The increase in the dog population should be generating more funds than in the past. So why does KC need to raise all related animal fees? They don't stop at just the animal fees, many varied "services" are being hit.
