Well done on holding focus across (most of) the flower, but I don't like it--I find the flower uncomfortably twisted. The angle of the petals is less than optimal, there's not enough tonal detail to provide the right depth cueing for me.

I like the composition for the most part. I think the photo would benefit from the flower facing into the frame. The direction of the flower sort of points the eye to the left, while the leaf directs the eye to the right. If you could have switched the places of the flower and leaf...

I also like the contrast of the yellow and green. Too bad you couldn't get the whole flower in focus.

Thanks for your postings. I agree that the orientation of the flower and the leaf aren't compelling enough. I couldn't take the shot from another angle because both objects wouldn't be on the same plane which will make it much more difficult to increase the DOF without incorporating any elements from the background. Thanks again.
