How about a TV spot--cut the fat, leave our police and firemen and transportation projects alone!

Man, these 'No on 695' TV spots are getting nasty. Hope the yes campaign can mount at least one ad to counter them. I suggest the following 1 minute ad:

Scene opens to soccer mom hustling to get her kids ready to go somewhere, clicking off the TV in disgust as it blares, "I695 takes 9 billion from.... "Ridiculous", she says, "How does 775 million suddenly become 9 BILLION?!" I know why I'm voting for I695. This biennium, Olympia increased government spending more than 9 percent over the last one. That's outrageous! My vote for I695 sends them a clear message--they're out of control. I say cutting that growth to only 6 or 7 percent ought to be easy, and they darned well better be taking it from the fat and leave our police and firemen and health programs and transportation projects alone! If they can't do that, they have no business managing our money! Welfare roles are down over 50 percent, so why is DSHS still growing, adding more caseworkers? Our prisons are full of dirtbags sponging free room and board from our taxes. Why not put them to work to earn their keep. Maybe they can print government brochures and mailers, fix potholes, or even make license tabs? One thing's certain. When my tabs go down to a reasonable $30 a year, I'll finaly be able to upgrade old Betsy here into something I'll feel safe driving my kids to school in."

Scene closes on soccer mom loading her kids into an old clunker named 'Betsy'

So, Tim, how do we get this on the tube? Any money coming in from all the 'rich folks' that're supposed to be gonna benefit from I695?
