No refund at the DMV RENO, Nevada, Oct. 21 The Department of Motor Vehicles will not be giving refunds to people who were falsely required to get smog checks.
DMV officials say the troubled new Genesis system required some motorists to pay for unneeded smog tests. The problem occurred in September when registration renewals improperly required some 1998 and 1999 automobiles to be smog-tested. DMV officials say the problem was minor and has since been corrected, but say they will not refund the money people paid for the smog tests.

You mean there is not even one starving lawyer in L.V. who can smell, or spell, "class-action lawsuit"?

Well by golly that is certainly a glimpse through the ole window into seeing why Americans are expected to riot. That'd about do it.

We can probably expect the "take it and don't give it back" to continue.Could this(and other things like the payroll snafu)be somewhat of a trial balloon to see just what people WILL tolerate?

Is the Monty Python crew writing their policy manual?
I wonder if they ever rented a copy of "Brazil".
