Heeheeheheheheheh. She was our first choice way way back :-)

-- Donna (moment@pacbell.net), October 20, 1999.

Just who is this Diane Squire, anyway?

OH, come on, I'm only kidding!

"Gosh, Diane, (he says as he stubs his bare toes in the dust of the playground), I never knew a girl who could spit as good as you do."

-- Lon Frank (lgal@exp.net), October 20, 1999.

Thank you for all the work you do.

You're welcome to our SPAM any day.

As one of the group that was posting here a year ago and managed to survive Diane's initial week on this forum (maybe "initial assault" would have been what I would have said back then), I marvel at her dedication and well balanced role as a forum moderator. Just goes to show that you can't always judge a person by initial impressions.

Thank you, Diane. May your lattes always be to your taste.

-- Jack (jsprat@eld.~net), October 20, 1999.

Diane who? : )

In all seriousness, Diane, you are a true Morpheus for all of us who chose to take the "blue pill." Where is that spoon, anyway? Opps, it's already in the cup...

Got Latte?

Luv ya,

Mike

* * * 19991020 Wednesday

Ditto! And a SPECIAL THANKS, too, to Ed Yourdon--for providing this (informal) "Central Y2K Intelligence Agency" (C-Y2K-IA) resource!

(BTW: Has anyone noticed that LATELY, MORE Y2K stuff seems to be posted here BEFORE Gary North can get it at his long standing and venerable site? Interesting! Keep it up!!)

The Sysops are to be commended, as well!

Regards, Bob Mangus

LOL,

Thanks all. And on that note, I've so depressed myself with all the recent "newz" that it's time a take a bit of a "rebalance" break... and several walks... and locate more of those coveted lattes.

;-D

Diane

-- Diane J. Squire (sacredspaces@yahoo.com), October 20, 1999.

Sorry to be late on this--I was busy composing a post for the Beans and Air Quality thread. I dedicate it to you, Diane, for all you do--the chili, kimchee, lavender combination, hereafter known as The Diane!

-- Old Git (anon@spamproblems.com), October 20, 1999.

Yeah, what Jack said.

-- King of Spain (madrid@aol.cum), October 20, 1999.

Diane,

Love your attitude and your links!

-- Mara (MaraWayne@aol.com), October 20, 1999.

"Nobody does it better..."

Diane, you're

"Simply the best...

.. Better than all the rest"

Thank you for really making a difference.

One must give credit where credit is due: Ms. Squire is certainly doing a much better job moderating the forum than before.

Enjoy the latte!

:)

Congratulatory Regards,
Andy Ray

Diane, Haven't been around all that long, but you seem like a real sweetie to me. How do I get this @#$%^& machine to give me a paragraph break?!

-- Patrick (pmchenry@gradall.com), October 20, 1999.

As a relative newcomer, I did not know of Ms. Squire until I saw this thread. However, as a moderator of an obscure little forum elsewhere, I am awed by the patience and grace it takes to manage this zoo.

My thanks,

MFU

-- Man From Uncle 1999 (mfu1999@hotmail.com), October 20, 1999.

Ms. Diane,

You seem to perform the tasks of "Chief of Peace" for this forum equally as well as you do the task of "Information Navigator". You truly are "amazable".

Should the fortunes of war dictate that I be passing through your AO, I would gladly buy the latte at the time and place of your choosing.

(In spite of your having tagged me as the FRL poster child)

S.O.B.

-- sweetolebob (buffgun@hotmail.com), October 20, 1999.

...I just wanna say *thanks, Diane! you do a super job*...

-- eubie (eubie@thenewbie.com), October 20, 1999.

Patrick: If you type a left angle bracket followed by the text "br" followed by a right angle bracket, that will terminate the line. Doing that TWICE in succession will effectively make a paragraph break. (It looks like "[br][br]", except I used square brackets so that you can see it.)

If it works for me and WEB-TV, it will work for anybody on anything.

-- King of Spain (madrid@aol.cum), October 20, 1999.

Diane, Effective, sage, precious, and clear----thanks so much for being here!

-- H fats Kissinger (draconoinsolutions@uselesseaters.com), October 21, 1999.

Thank you very much :-)

-- && (&&@&&.&), October 21, 1999.

Yup, youse done good ;-)

BTW, Patrick, KoS's method may work; I just hit the return twice. Fooling with html is something I'm leaving 'til after ohoh is here.

-- T the C (tricia_canuck@hotmail.com), October 21, 1999.

Diane is the year of the Water Dragon and a Grande Damme at that. I will always be wavin' my eyelashes while winking to boot! A missing link to her Sun in Gemini with Saturn in Libra is Aquarius. But here here is the tight social circle that fits that Aquarian trait . I surely can blow a swell kiss anyway ......XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX!

-- Feller (feller@wanna.helpDiane;)), October 21, 1999.

thank you, diane

i don't know how many times i've looked EVERYWHERE for a bit of info.......only to find that you've already put up a link to it : )

A TOAST, better scratch that, a SALUTE, to Diane, Kevin and all the other Yourdonite news hounds!

-- Sysman (y2kboard@yahoo.com), October 21, 1999.

Thanks to Diane, Chuck, Sysman, and anybody else who is out their helping out. Thanks for letting us swear once in a while when no other words would be quite right! Lol!!

Thanks D, the info and links you provide are priceless!

Keep it up.

While the forum is excellent because of the overall blend i.e. Blowhards like Invar, Wise people like Tom Carey, clowns like Deedah, brainiacs like Brian Mclaughlin, visionaries like Hallyx, a-holes like Flint, section-8's like me, experts like Cory and Sysyman and Bob Cook, historical figures like Paul and Gary and Ed...the most credit (forum-wise) has gotta go to those who work it hardest, and no- one surpases Diane in this respect.

-- number six (iam_not_a_number@hotmail.com), October 21, 1999.

Diane, you do SO MUCH work for us here that I always wonder HOW on earth you are able to do anything else for yourself, like prepping. I figure you must have started in 1984, when the first whistle was blown on Y2K being a problem...LOL. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

-- Elaine Seavey (Gods1sheep@aol.com), October 21, 1999.

Thanks, Diane!

<< How do I get this @#$%^& machine to give me a paragraph break?!

I, being html-challenged and relatively stubborn, simply hit the [carriage return] key twice. (That's the [Enter] button for youse guys who didn't grow up on a typewriter.] 8<)

Simply the best...! Definetely.

Mike is right: She is like Morphopheous (sp?) The Spoon Isn't Really There ;-)

Thanks for always chiming in with the facts and the links to back it up. Makes it soooo much easier to argue...(grin)!

-- mar (derigueur2@aol.com), October 21, 1999.

Rock on, Diane.
