Okay I read it. And they point is.....

So should the media not do any reports on possible impacts of the initiative because everything anyone needs to know about the thing is in the voters pamphle

Better question, should the media speculate on the effects before the election. Nobody knows what the effects will be because NOBODY knows how the legislature will respond, assuming its constitutional ( I think it is..). Vote yes and find out

no chance, that has to be one of the more lame comments that I've heard. We should just pass it and find out if there are problems with it? That's a lot like saying why speculate if shooting yourself in the middle of your forehead will either miss both hemispheres of your brain or kill you instantly when you can just pull the trigger to find out.

If 695 is as strong of an initiative that many here suggest, then they shouldn't have any problems with the media attempting to tear it appart. It almost sounds like you're scared to have people take a closer look at the thing because there is a chance that they might not like what

Patrick....

What are you gonna do if this initiative passes?? Are you gonna move out of state? Do you really think this will destroy the state? Just curious.

Allen, I've lived here my entire life and I plan on remaining here my entire life regardless if 695 passes or not. I don't think, nor have I ever said that the state will be destroyed, that life as we know it will cease to exist, that chaos will decend on us, or any number of the "doom and gloom" paraphrasing that supporters like to place in opponents' mouths.

If you want gloom and doom, listen to the anti-695 ads. That was a really silly thing for you to say unless you have been living in a cardboard box in Georgia for the last several weeks. Those ads have hit a new low in appeals to pity and emotion. Let's hope the entitlement mentality of modern society in Washington begins a quick and painful death with the passing of 695. Those of us in the rest of this state are tired of being oppressed by Puget Sound Socialists.

Oppressed by the Puget Sound Socialists huh Brian? Funny, I thought that those of us in the Puget Sound area are actually subsidizing most of the rest of the state. You know, our taxes help pay for transportation systems in the rest of the state. Our utility bills are higher to keep people in rural areas from paying the REALLY expensive price of providing service to remote areas.

And I'm not sure what 695 will do to to help out those outside the Puget Sound. We do have close to a majority of the state population living in our area. A statewide vote would need pretty good support of our region to pass or opposition to fail. Seahawk stadium vote anyone? This actually gives MORE power to those of us living in the Puget Sound. Bummer if you're not a so called Soci
