proposed change of betting structure. (SF)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Team SF : One Thread

now that we no longer pay players according to the size of their win (strictly by hours as of Oct1), we no longer need to keep everyone's win rate relatively equal. so, i am proposing some betting changes that will have our single-deck player win rates sky-rocket.

another thought behind this revision, is that it standardizes our top bet at 10 units. makes it real easy to calculate what your top bet should be. it also makes it real easy for my spies to see if you are overbetting. the overbetting does not appear to be a problem on this team, but it has been on other teams... so i like to be prepared to spot it & correct it.

these higher betting levels (optionally for DD and definitely for SD) will obviously result in higher variance (in terms of dollars, not units) and higher win rates. the previously proposed new unit structure of the bank should be able to absorb this increased variance quite easily.

this is another of those proposals that will be made official soon, barring any well thought out arguments against it. if you have any questions, comments or concerns regarding this... then speak and be heard!

please note that the tables below assume...
Hi-Lo Classic, Zen, Omega2, HI-Opt2TC to the full deck level
Uston APC & Hi-Lo LiteTC to the half deck level
Red7 & KOIRC, KEY & PIVOT as per the latest published versions... with no true-counting or count fudging; these strategies are not forbidden, they are just not assumed.

MULTIPLE DECK GAMES (two, four, six and eight decks)

on double deck: if you cant get away with a 10 unit bet, then top out at 8 units. play at least two rounds after shuffle, regardless of count.

on four or more decks: if at all possible, spread to the appropriate two hand bet at high positive counts.

     SINGLE DECK GAMES

     Play-All most of the time
your top bet on single-deck is 10 units.
you should bet this much (10 units) at almost all positive running counts.
use at least a 1-4 spread (if not more).
