Should I be insulted or mad when Gov. Locke proposes that he will do what is in my best interest if I let him decide what the license tab fee should be?

That's how we got in the situation we are in now - no control, just find something they want and increase the fee. A double-dip any way you look at it - unreal valuation and increased cost of vehicles !

Insulted that NOW Locke wants to help out or mad that he thinks I can't do what's REALLY fair for me !

While I believe that the tab system is unfair, the really important issue to be decided is taxpayer control over taxation. I believe that if someone goes into politics for the right reasons ( public service ) then they will do the best job with the money given to them. NOT the " children in a candy store " philosphy that is prevelant now.

The politicians WILL do the job on the money we allow them, explain in a LOGICAL fashion why they need funding for whatever project, or we will get someone in there that can the next time we are at the voters booth.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. If we do not seize it, then we should just send our paychecks to Olympia, endorsed, and trust in unaccountable, benevolent rulers to provide for us, as they have our best interest at heart.

I just wrote a check for $100 for I-695 that I really can't afford but, really I can't afford NOT to.
