In a few weeks time I am travelling to Malasiya and have been told that duty free and particularly electrical goods are a lot cheaper that the UK, therefore I was wondering whether it would be worth while trying to buy a digital camera in the far east and if there were any problems asociated with such a purchase.

Answers

I't been a long time, but I made a few trips to Penang. We found the best deals were on the way through Hong Kong or Singapore. There WERE some excellent deals, but shop at home before you go so you'll know a buy when you see one. Have a good trip - watch out for the monkeys, those things are vicious!
