Up till now, our local power distribution company had claimed they weren't obligated to meet NERC's deadlines because, not being a power generator, they weren't a member of that organization, but only of the APPA (a distributors' association).

However, In their October 12th update on their web site (www.nespower.com), it states that on October 1, they "filed a 'Y2K Ready' Certification" with NERC, so it appears they are now having some direct contact ... seems like a good sign. Has anyone else heard about distributors starting to do this?
