AMERICAN GOVERNMENT IS ANTI-GOVERNMENT

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I've been asked on another thread to explain why certain power elites are trying to create a one world government, and how I could believe that it is intended to enslave us (instead of usher in an ecotopian dream where all will live in harmony and there will be no more hunger or injustice - or whatever). It has even been suggested that no one really has that much power or wealth, really. Here is a very fine collection of links which will disabuse you of that notion, if attended to with due diligence:

http://www-douzzer.ai.mit.edu:8080/conspiracy/www.tlio.demon.co.uk/badlink.htm#power

Below is a quote about "Government" from this links page. It seems extreme to us well-adapted denizens of modern welfare-statism. But it is the pure distillate of the reasoning behind the very structure of American government, as it was meant to be - as it MUST be, if we are to remain a free people, governing ourselves. AMERICAN GOVERNMENT IS ANTI-GOVERNMENT. In any form true to it's Constitutional blueprint, American Government is government ham-strung, hobbled, held back; it is government divided and set to watch itself, that it may do no further wrong against mankind. It is government pinned, powerless, beneath the scrutiny of a free press, and a vigilant population of freely informed - not coercively indoctrinated - citizens. This vital, central truth which underlies every attempt to create a truly free society, is derided and forgotten now as the darkness sweeps over us, as our Constitution is trampled by ninja-suited executioners and an imperial executive making law by unratified treaty, and by fiat.

Here is that quote about "government":

"To be GOVERNED is to be watched, inspected, spied upon, directed, law-driven, numbered, regulated, enrolled, indoctrinated, preached at, controlled, checked, estimated, valued, censured, commanded, by creatures who have neither the right nor the wisdom nor the virtue to do so.

To be GOVERNED is to be at every operation, at every transaction noted, registered, counted, taxed, stamped, measured, numbered, assesed, licensed, authorized, admonished, prevented, forbidden, reformed, corrected, punished. It is, under pretext of public utility, and in the name of the general interest, to be placed under contribution, drilled, fleeced, exploited, monopolized, extorted from, squeezed, hoaxed, robbed then, at the slightest resistance, the first word of complaint, to be repressed, fined, vilified, harrased, hunted down, abused, clubbed, disarmed, bound, choked, imprisoned, judged, condemned, shot, deported, sacrificed, sold, betrayed; and to crown all, mocked, ridiculed, derided, outraged, dishonored.

That is government; that is its justice, that is its morality."

When Does It Stop? By: Shonda M. Ponder

When does it stop?

The American People have never been betrayed to the extent that they are betrayed today. What is surprising is that the people are at a loss as to what to do about it.

We are told that everything is "for the children" while children are being burned alive in their homes. We are told that "it must be true, I heard it on the news" when media isn't allowed within miles of the scene. They only rely on the story they are told by the authorities. The bullies.

If someone knocks you down, you don't ask the person who knocked you down why they did it. Especially if he is bigger than you are. The media does not ask the people what happened. They ask the bullies. The People have no say in the story that is told by the media.

We are told it is "for our own good."

President Clinton has recently been impeached for perjury, and has been allowed to retain his office as our nations Commander-in-Chief while the atrocities he has committed has been the failing of many a high-ranking serviceman under military law. But this is all for our own good.

He tells us that he wishes to "get back to the work the American People hired me to do," and then gets us all involved in yet another war that we have no business getting involved in, all for our own good.

We have judges who are throwing out cases rather than allowing us to defend ourselves against the tyranny of new laws that are passed that have no constitutional value, all for our own good.

Our land is being ruled through acts that usurp authority over our local governments, creating federal regionalism that is run by unelected officials, causing our elected officials to have little or no say in the way the people they represent are being treated, all for our own good.

Our people are being told to drive miles out of the way in order to log complaints against their leaders, and then are led through miles of red tape before their complaints are even registered for referral. Those who complain are often harassed by the very people they are complaining against, costing them time, money and personal injury, but it is all for their own good.

The people who are elected are only allowed to run for office after paying certain fees, and even then they are not allowed the same promotions that those who have money get, thereby limiting the choices of the people to a certain elite few, but it is for their own good.

We pay almost half of our wages in illegal taxation, we send our children to fight other people's wars, and we have to look at a president who is bound and determined to bring this nation to its knees in shame all for our own good.

It is for our own good that our children are being taught globalism while the UN charter undermines parental rights. It is for our own good that the police are training with the military, and military men are leaving the military to become policemen so that they will know how to "subdue" us when the time comes. It is for our own good that gun rights are fast becoming obsolete, so we have no protection from criminals who break into our homes or take our property. Where is due process?

It is for our own good that the 10 Commandments cannot be displayed in a public setting and students are being thrown out of school simply for having a Bible in the vehicle that they park on school property. It is for our own good that our children are being drugged with a drug that has side effects that cause young children to commit sexual deviations and have shootouts that shock the nation.

It is for our own good that parents are being blamed when their children commit crimes, yet the government will not let the parents administer discipline without hollering "child abuse!"

It is also for our own good that violent criminals are being kept in prisons with big screen televisions and basketballs to play with instead of working on our roads like they used to. Now we have roads that are never finished, and when they are, they are left to decay rather than being regularly kept up and cleaned. It is also for our own good that criminals are being set free on probation due to lack of space in prisons while non-violent offenders are being put away through illegal sting operations that entrap individuals in businesses where they are employed.

It is for our own good that we are not allowed to drive a car that we pay for with our own money without buying identifying tags and inspections stickers for it, and even then it is illegal to drive it without the purchase of insurance that is sometimes too expensive to provide. Then we have to pay for a drivers license so we can be assured the permit to freely travel.

We pay taxes on our own property with fear of losing the property we worked hard to buy if we don't, all for our own good.

When does it stop? When will we finally stand up and say "Enough is enough!" and do something about all the invasion of our private lives?

Why is the government determined to do all this to us without our consent, unless it is for the sole purpose of enslaving us?

When was the last time you read the Declaration of Independence? Don't you think it is time to add some new signers to that Declaration? I wish to add mine.

Mark,

I could not agree more. How frustrating it is to see where we are today as a society and compare it to anything Jefferson and others intended in their declarations so many years ago.

The problem is lethargy, organizational ability, trust and fear so the only way to correct the current state of affairs is for something of a catastrophic nature to change it.

I'd like to second Mr. Pinochle's question, which I have been asking over several months. Is there any group, such as the one quote above, that are actually doing things to effect changes? It is good to congregate on this forum with others of like mind, who love and wish to restore this nation, but that obviously is not enough. What CAN we do, other than cast our ballots, which seems to not have made much of a difference in recent years?

This is a very large, multifaceted group of conservatives called "Freepers," organized around the website "freerepublic.com." In addition to hosting a forum and huge databases on whitewater, chinagate, etc., they organize events and marches. There's a lot of enthusiasm, a lot of debate, and a lot of solid scholarship here. Once you find out if you are "one of them," you can find others in your area with little difficulty. Or, you can read a book like the "Federalist Papers" or "Betrayal" or "Year of the Rat" and start a discussion group of your own; you could organize it around a single issue or topic also: like the ability of the WTO to overturn US environmental laws (based on treaties that violate the US Constitution).

There are a lot of people like you and me, just waking up to the fact that something -many things- have gone terribly, radically wrong in this country. A lot of us (like me) used to be "liberals," and Clinton/DNC supporters. The main thing is to educate yourself and discuss the issues with others.

freerepublic.com (will some HTML-literate person provide a link? Thanks)

Freedom is a very loose term this day and age. The term self- righteous is now a part of normal life. As the population grows the farther away we become from one another. The further we drift away from what is right and what is reality. The "sheep" are most of our american population. They do as they are instructed giving no new ideas therefore making it easier to control. I got a kick out of a recent commercial that the chrysler corporation put out " dodge different" and every car on that commercial was the SAME color was the SAME style. I dont know about what other people think but todays view of different is calling a potato two different names. I sympothize for the people of New York not for the fact that they lost lives but for they worship a person like Giuliani. This guy has helped take away more freedoms and rights Than any other person in the history of this country. Oh we care about the poor but are there less ghettos? Oh we care about education but are there smarter people? The answer is no. There will never be those changes and the government will never want to make those changes. We as a people cannot organize because we will have one of the 8 million police officers or 10 million government workers knocking on our door. 20 billion for a anti- terrorist campaign? then what job is the CIA's job or the 65 trillion dollars going to the military for? Freedom? Liberty? Pursuit of happiness? yeah right. we are just more victims of the in-house drive by.
