Online help please or recommended book for newbies

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread

I have a lot to learn about digital photography and especially editing and printing images. Could someone please recommend any online help for newbies or any books which I could buy which would be helpful.

This site has a lot of useful info, some on the Oly 2000 specifically. I suggest you read a lot of their stuff. You can also buy books from them.

Take a look at NYI primer.... http://www.nyip.com/sub_idx_pgs/digitalidx/digitalidx.html

Should get you started.

It covers a lot of ground, not just editing and printing, but the book we have listed on our "deals" page (www.imaging-resource.com/DEALS.HTM) is fantastic (IMHO). Called "Start with a Digital Camera", it really covers all the bases. It's very attractively produced as well. At the list price of $34.95, it'd be a harder decision, but the "Deal" price of $21.95 is hard to beat. (Limited time offer though, as Xoom is working through a bulk-purchase from the publisher. - Thus, if you're reading this post months or even weeks from now, the deal almost certainly won't be there...)
