Sometimes I don't have my tripod, and want to take a slow exposure shot, I'd like to place the camera on a table and take a picture with the timer, to avoid the shakes.

Also, I'd like to take advantage of the flurescent light filter, (which is very handy on this fuji! ) in conjunction with the timer.

Again, not so easy, the timer seems only to want to work with the automatic mode....unless I'm missing something??
