Did anyone else notice this glitch?

When Molly Brown is boarding the Titanic, and Old Rose is doing a voiceover, she hands a porter a piece of luggage and says something like "Take this, sonny." The glitch is that the piece of luggage is unmistakably Louis Vuitton, which wouldn't have been around in 1912. I guess the crew couldn't find any other luggage, so they bought a piece of modern expensive luggage and put it in the movie hoping no one would notice.

Call me a nitpicker. I don't care. :)

You know Scott, I wouldn't know a Louis Vuitton if I tripped over it (or Louis himself!) and my guess is that most who saw the film wouldn't either! :>)

I wouldn't recognize a Vuitton either, but it is always fun to find something that most people wouldn't catch. That's what is so neat about this site- it has all the people who do catch these kind of things!

Well, like, I liked the movie. It's just that it IS fun to find minor glitches. You've never seen a Vuitton luggage bag? They're pretty hard to mistake. They have a stylized L.V. stamped all over a dark brown leather background, and the luggage's frame is always light brown. I don't own any because its too expensive. I couldn't afford $2000 for a piece of luggage. They are nice, though. Strangely enough, it seemed to fit in the movie. Rich people have expensive things.

I noticed the LV luggage as well, and it made me a little curious... I did some web research, and found out that Louis Vuitton was actually founded in 1854. SO that makes Molly's luggage pretty acurate, timewise.

I have 6 pieces of Louis Vuitton luggage and I dont know how someone canyt tell it is Louis Vuitton it is only one of the most luxurious brands there is you pay for the label.

Louis Vuitton was around during the time of Titanic. It was actually quite clever putting in the movie, because I once heard an old tale that it only became famous AFTER that point simply because it was the only one of all suitcases that didn't sink.
