Are XING encoding+NTI CDMAKER 4 - DATconvertion Compatible........!!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I don't know where the problem is....the MPG file is OK after the encoding,,,but when it is converted to DAT and then burned it just doesnt work. The SONY DVD will play it but with digital drop out(ARTIFACTS). I'm using XING encoder with the VIDEOCD stream, and mastering with NTI CD Maker Pro 4, and the VIDEOCD comes out with this drop outs......

ANY ONE KNOW THE RIGHT COMBINATION TO MAKE IT WORK......?

I had not been able to create VCD using NTI till I switched to Adaptec EZ CD Creator deluxe 4.0. Forget about NTI !.

I had this same problem, and after pulling (whats left of) my hair out, I finnaly tracked down the problem. In the Xing encoder, Copy the VCD Stream Profile and name it to NTI (or what ever you want). In the new profile,UNCHECK the option "Audio Pack Null Bytes". If you are going to burn with NTI, ALWAYS use this profile. For more information check the Xing Web Site at http://www.xing.com, go to the xing support, smart faq's and search "VCD". Look for the heading "I used the Encoder to make a VideoCD but it does not work, why?"
