Where to buy paper

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Printing & Finishing : One Thread

I've been checking some of the web photo stores and see quite a difference in the cost of paper. Does anyone have a fav for price and service that you would like to pass on? Thanks.

I have been buying most of my darkroom supplies from Freestyle Sales Co. Their website is Freestylesalesco.com.

My experience with them has been excellent.

B&H gets all my business. I just ordered paper and chemicals today and should have them in 4 days, with the holiday, monday. I have a link from my web site to B&H's site, that is my degree of confidence in their service and prices.

I use to buy all of my paper from B&H but since the UPS strike it seems that B&H won't use UPS and only ships Fed-Ex. I hate to spend $20 or more on shipping for just a couple of boxes of paper and maybe a package or two of dry chemicals. The savings for on price is ate up by the high shipping costs. Their service is very good though.

Jeff;

The S&H for a big order from B&H Saturday was just $13, paper, chemicals, and a set of trays!

Well, I will vouch for B&H, Adorama if you want to save money. I have used Freestyle and found there service lacking, plus my shipment was lost for about a week. There is one other place I know of that is quite good, and prices are reasonable. Check out Rainer Photo in seattle. www.rainerphoto.com. I have a friend who has used them for years and has never had a problems and their service was top notch, and all orders are shipped same day you make the purchase.

B&H is now using UPS. I got my order in two working days with total S&H charge of $12.70.
