Recap of the effects of the Solar Eclipse of August 11, 1999:

Increased incidences of solar flares and electromagnetic storms.

Increased terrorist activity, mass murders, hate crimes, and violence around the world.

Wars between India and Pakistan; China and Taiwan, Russia and Chechnya; India and Pakistan; Indonesia and East Timor; various regional wars between African nations and political groups.

Major earthquakes in Turkey, Taiwan and Mexico.

Major decline in the U.S. stock market, and higher interest rates.

A major turnaround in the world situation will begin in May 2000, when six of the seven major planets will transit through the constellation of Aries. But for the next three months, the world situation will tend to get worse before it gets better.

My astrologically based forecasts for the next three months are:

1. After a failed rally in October in the American stock market, a major, sustained, general decline in stock prices will follow. The majority of stocks are already trading at a lower price than at year-end, 1998. A major recovery in stock prices may occur in early January 2000--if there are no major problems caused by the Y2K computer bug. If the Y2K problem is significant, then stock prices may continue to decline until early May 2000.

2. Higher interest rates in the U.S. bond market will induce a recession, which will begin at the end of 1999 or beginning of 2000. The recession will last probably last from 6 to 9 months. Real estate prices will drop significantly in most parts of the U.S., and may begin to recover in the summer of 2000.

3. The Year 2000 (Y2K) computer problem will be much worse than envisioned by the majority of people. Problems in Europe, Russia and Asia will cause a major disruption of the global economy for MONTHS, and will thereby also affect the U.S. economy. There will likely be major disruptions in the power grid, transportation, banking, financial, and governmental services, around the world.

4. Increased danger of regional conflicts spreading out of control and developing into World War III. There will also be increased danger of biological and nuclear terrorist attacks against the larger cities in the U.S. Imminent danger to the American public has been publicly acknowledged by the Pentagon, the CIA, the FBI, and military microbiologists for several years now. However, since the government does not have the means to protect the American public from terrorist attack, the public policy is to avoid creating an atmosphere of fear and apprehension. Your own personal preparedness may save your own life, and the lives of your family, friends and neighbors.

5. The prices of gold and petroleum products will continue to increase. I just sold my gold mining stocks, ABX and NEM, for a 81% net profit, after holding them for only five weeks. I plan to buy these and other gold mining stocks again in the near future, as trading opportunities arise. Grain prices will tend to decline due to seasonal harvesting factors. The Euro, Japanese Yen, Swiss Franc, Deutsche Mark and British Pound will continue to increase in value in relation to the U.S. Dollar. Canada's economy will continue to flounder. South American economies (as a group) will tank before Christmas.

6. President Clinton will suffer from additional scandals and allegations.

May peace prevail on Earth
