Just heard on the radio that a few senior AT&T managers bailed today. Announcer was pretty surprised about it and didn't give details.

Has anybody heard anything? Who quit? Why? Don't know if this is Y2K related or MCI/Worldcom/Sprint merger related.

I would imagine they got a pretty good offer from a newly formed conglomerate in telecommunications with a fresh batch of cash....

This is interesting. This summer, I met a former Vice President from AT&T. We met at a semi-high society wedding. Anyway, the old boy was talking about his new Montana compound; he'll be staying there with all the family. He didn't expect any significant problems from Y2K. Still, his preps rivaled Dragon Ranch.
