Where does Greenspan keep his money?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

This was relayed to one of the folkes in our little group from a fairly trustworthy source, however, we can't confirm and would like some assistance.

Recently their was a gathering of reporters, in this gathering was one Andrea Mitchell of NBC News. To wit a subject of discussion was Y2K. There was much laughing and joking and fear expressed by the gathered with respect to the doomers and naysayers who are prepping for the CDC. To make a long story short, just before the gathering broke-up the topic turned to money and if anyone was going to make a withdrawal. Ms Mitchell said they weren't worried, that their money was "spread" about in "passbook accounts".

We have a few questions:

1. Does anyone know Ms. Mitchell well enough to verify or dispell?

2. Ms Mitchell is married to Alan Greenspan, was this in reference to them as a couple or was this the "royal we?"

I know he said he's out of the market. Has been for a good while.

Greenspan's disclosure statements for the past two years indicate that he is invested in Treasuries and cash accounts (passbook would certainly qualify). These same disclosures do not address bullion holdings. I'm sure he's got that squirreled away somewhere (being a past goldbug).

We royals don't know, but who cares? Greedspin is not really so clever, just an old hand at old ways that are about to tank. The Old Boys' Club. Honesty matters more. Maybe they meant the passports? Accounts with the Swiss? Booked to flee? And c4i, talk about the "royal we!" LOL on csy2k too!

T-bills, was it?

Hey, speaking of royal 'wes', how many comprise your band? And what's your latest prognositication vis-a-vis Y2K?

Incidentally, Kissinger is rumored to be converting to greenbacks.

I would bet that 75% of his net worth is in Gold & silver. BTW, I sold ten of my 320 calls. The transaction took about 15 minutes to confirm. So much for those who claim Options are not liquid.

Greenspan probably has a stockpile of some "spending cash" and some metals located somewhere on his ranch in the Jackson Hole area of Wyoming. And I'll be he's planning on spending the holidays there with all his family and maybe a few freinds.

Passbook accounts denominated in EURO's would work.
