Has anyone read The Mjolnir Syndrome at www.braintherapy.com?greenspun.com : LUSENET : Electric Utilities and Y2K : One Thread |
This article offers some real interesting, and to me since I'm not a techie, alarming information concerning the apparent lack of understanding that many programmers have regarding embedded chip design and a thing called the Secondary Clock. Is this article correct? Anyone?

Gregory,Back in summer of this year Gary North posted a very interesting (but alarming) eighteen page article on this embedded systems secondary clock issue, written by Bruce Beach. You can enter garynorth.com and search the "embedded chips" category. Note: This article generated reams of responses from technical professionals across the U.S.

Thank you for your answer Mr. Liebenstein. I was already aware that Bruce Beach had written, and caught flack for, this article. I was wondering though if what he said about Secondary Clocks was credible and if understanding by many or most programmers was shortcoming in this area. Finally, I want to thank Mr. Lane Core for taking my sincerely asked question and making fun of it. I hope you never teach any college classes. But at least I can say I was the butt of one of the "Y2K heavyweights" jokes. Is it any wonder that people that are searching for the truth about Y2K don't know who to believe?
