London Report: Bin Laden May Hit New York, Stock Exchange

The London-based Terrorism and Security Monitor is reporting that U.S. intelligence sources are worried that terrorist Osama Bin Laden may be planning a major terrorist attack on U.S. soil.

U.S. sources are said "to be particularly concerned about some kind of attack on New York, and they have recommended stepped-up security at the New York Stock Exchange and the Federal Reserve.

U.S. authorities believe Bin Laden may have acquired chemical weapons.

Reports of Bin Ladens activities come on the heels of heightened agitation among Muslims against the West.

Yossef Bodansky, staff director of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare, says, "There are rumblings throughout the Islamic community right now. Theres a lot of movement and talk. Its like a volcano just before the explosion."

Very, Very real possibility IMHO !!! Out of curiousity, does anyone on this forum have anything in thier preps like a good quality gas mask? With all the talk of increased chances of terrorist activities on US soil that may utilize NBC agents I am starting to think that this may not be a bad idea. Anyone feel the same?

Fang, I wonder how the muslims could be any more agitated against the U.S. than they already are. If they CAN do it, they will. I wonder if we could start a fund to bribe Bin Laden to hit the White House instead of the stock exchange. The feds can't wait for him to strike so they will have a solid excuse to curtail civil liberties without so much as a bleat from the sheeple.

Bought the whole family gas masks, we are located near oil pipelines, and not so distant from chemical companies. NW Washington. If Y2K should destabilize (kaboom) these, and if we aren't killed outright, then toxic fumes would be a concern (to put it mildly!).
