Is that Kitco graph crap, or is it crap?

It's crap.

The graph is fine, it says that NY gold closed around 323-4. The futures currently have it at 327.2. Note that that graph has three days of data, all a different color. The black line is today, High well into the 33-s to 34-s then settled back when NY opened. It is a wild ride in Gold there are big market forces at work, be careful, do not try this at home;)

Things will get worse before they get better.

Note also this is the spot price not a futures contract or CRB quote. The price of gold (POG) is slightly different depending on how and where you trade. Just like coins go at a premium to spot.

Well, it WAS showing a close of -100 for quite a while. I bought plenty at this price!

Yesterday/last night it wasn't working at all.

They're probably getting a couple more hits (visits to) their site than usual the last few days. Just like "Server Busy" on this site.
