Did you have a really busy weekend?

Man, I feel like we hardly sat down this weekend. But we got a lot done -- the house is relatively clean, and thanks to Jeremy our front porch is presentable and our lawn is ready for the sprinkler installation next weekend. We have our water purifier installed, and our bills are paid.

Next weekend it starts all over again, though, doesn't it?

How about you? Did you accomplish anything this weekend?

I bought two cookie cutters, a kangaroo and a rabbit (which I insist on calling a bunny) and determined that yes, my lacto-ovo-vegetarian friend will eat cookies made therefrom.

Also we bought a domain. Wheee!

So I accomplished consumerism.

I was a busy bee too....

I made a trip to BJ's (warehouse club), cleaned the whole house, had Dave's family over, went to Wal-Mart and B&N, played tennis, had Dave's friends over for football, made them all food, surfed the web, did the laundry and got over eight hours of sleep every night.

I'm not really sure how I did it all.

I went home this weekend (from college) to visit my boyfriend and celebrate my dad's 50th birthday. It was cool to do that and see the family and extended family and stuff.. and the rest of the weekend I spent laying in bed with my boyfriend either sleeping, or not sleeping, or watching tv or just laying around. I love being lazy on the weekends.. it's something that I look forward to every single week.

Yes, this was a really productive weekend. We registered for wedding gifts at Target. I finished making my dress and made a mosquito netting thing to protect the cake from wasps and flies. Pat went to BevMo and ordered all the beverages for the party. We phoned a bunch of people who haven't RSVPed. He and his friend fixed his truck. We both cleaned up a lot of stuff in the living room. He took his suit to be pressed. I colored my hair and he got his cut. I also drove 50 miles away to visit somebody and drop off something I needed to give them.

Whew, I'm tired just reading about that.

Next week is the big party (our delayed wedding reception) that all this was in preparation for, and after that we're going to Mendocino for a few days. I don't think this is going to be a very productive work week.

Well, yes and no. Saturday: Woke up. 10 hour VERY productive day at the used bookstore, being a buyer and pricing and shelving and so on. Went over to the guys' with my hoosbeen. Went bowling. Came home late. Fell asleep. Sunday: Woke up. Went to church. Came home. Tried to watch taped wrestling with hoosbeen. Fell asleep. 4 hour nap. Went out for Chinese food with hoosbeen (birthday thingie) and mom-in-law and friends. Came home. Watched all the Sunday night animated series we weren't home for. Fell asleep. Saturday was busy. Sunday was sleepy. @whee. (my real weekend is Tuesday and Wednesday, and I am not prescient or organized enough to know if they will be busy.

Hell, yes! We cleared all the shelves in the computer room (soon to be baby room) relocated the crap in either boxes or on the new shelves in the new computer location. We installed a wall of shelves and filled them with stuff and they look fabulous, thank you. These are those strip shelving things that you have to screw in the wall, after you've carefully located the studs (by drilling holes and missing a few times)

We did 7 loads of laundry. We got the livingroom cleaned up. I went through most of my boxes of crap and threw out half of it. These are the boxes we put in the closet when we moved in, that we said we'd go through eventually. We installed the hanging pot rack in the kitchen because I'm too pregnant to be bending over and crawling around on the floor on my hands and knees to get out a pasta sieve and the SO whines bitterly when I ask him to do it and usually hands me the wrong thing. I went to the hardware store and bought hanging hooks and screws and stuff. We paid what we could afford to pay of our billsI put up the flagpole bracket and hung out the harvest flag thingy. I know it's gauche, but I like those flags.

Last night I vacuumed, reorganized our shoe shelves by the door and threw out 2 large bags of shoes. Imelda would be crapping her britches about that, I imagine. I'm a cleaning machine.

Next weekend, the computer room cleaning continues.
