Print Quality

I am having problems printing on my Epson Stylus Photo printer. I scan good quality 8by8 photos and try to print copies. In the past I have had no problems but lately my photos show signs of what I can best describe as posterisation where some of the colours look like they are out of gamut. They also have a red cast which can be difficult to remove. I have tried replacing the scanner and tried the same scan on my friends identical set up where it prints very well. I have not altered my technique and Im now at a loss what to do next . Wasting a lot of ink. Can you help? If I send samples what size do I make them for downloading

I have had the same problems with both of my Epson printers, the original Photo and also the Photo 700. I have learned that the pics print better on Epson Photo Paper, but the problem still has not gone away.

I had a problem where it was printing green. Ran the head cleaner a few times, and it did nothing, then Itook a paper clip and cleaned the ink cartridge. It worked fine, and the next time it did it was when it ran out of ink. I think it might have been a blockage in one of the colors. I do not know if this might be similar to your problem
