How to decrease the color of a film in VirtualDub?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I wanna know if using the VirtualDub video filters is possible to reduce the color (saturation or hue) of a film (in an AVI file).

I've tried all of commands (filters) and haven't got it.

Thanks a lot...

VirtualDub uses the available drivers there are in your PC for the video capture cards. These drivers will be the ones to put their properties in the appropriate boxes when you open VirtualDub (assuming it was properly installed and recognized the video capture devices) and if it is supported control for color saturation should appear in these capture h/w properties. For example I use Marvel G200 and the interface properties are identical whether I use PC-VCR (capture s/w which came bundled with the card) or VirtualDub. If your capture card properties didn't have color saturation control to begin with VirtualDub can't really do anything above that.
