Does the Rebel 2000 have an automatic fill-flash algorithm like the Elan and the A2? I'm thinking of the sliding scale where around EV7 the camera begins reducing the power of the flash, assuming it's not the main light source, until it gets to about -1.5 stops in bright light.

On my A2 I disable this and set a fill ratio manually, but there is no provision for a manual fill ratio with the Rebel 2000, so I'm wondering if I can trust it to do something semi-reasonable. Yes, I've shot some film to get some idea, but it would help to know if there was a method to the camera's madness...
