Sorry, THIS is the link to the main page:

Hmmmmm...

That link (which should be correct, based on the hearing date of "990927") displays the testimony from the August "Computer Security" hearings, not "Health Care". Either the Webmaster messed up a copy-to, or someone may have decided to hold off on Web access to this document for a bit.

Two days later: still not the correct document at that link, even though the Home Page says the link is to "JOINT HEARING: THE YEAR 2000 AND MEDICARE: 'IS HEALTH SERVICE DELIVERY AT RISK?' "

It's October 1. Three months and counting...

I don't believe in conspiracies. If they are out there, I am powerless to do anything about it. Therefore, I am not concerned with them. That said, failures in medicare may provide interesting opportunity for health care reform a la Mrs. Clinton's proposals for national health care (1994). It's just something to think about.

Sincerely, Stan Faryna

Stan -

That would certainly create the requisite "sense of urgency" for an initiative, wouldn't it? Interesting.

The document is now available at the House site: Year 2000 & Medicare: "Is the Health Service at Risk?"
