Hi Phyllis, I had this discussion with my breeder when I went to pick out my kitten from her. She had blue/whites and silver/whites tabbies. They are virtually identical (especially as kittens). She showed me the difference: The blues had some markings that were very light peach in color where some white would normally be (they also had white on them. The silvers had none of this peach coloring - just white. Otherwise they looked identical as kittens - black on tips of fur and white at the base & gray in between. If I remember correctly, the silvers stay dark as they get their adult coats and the blues get a slightly lighter coat. She has a picture of my kitten's mother when she was a kitten on her website . Look under "Meet our Cats" and scroll to the bottom. Ice Princess is the one to the right of the red tabby. You cannot see the peach in this picture. I would imagine it would be hard to make out in any picture the light color just blends into the white. But you can e-mail Carolyn at Thunder Rose (the cattery) and she might could answer any other questions you may have. Janet
