Some ideas from D-M

Some comments on recent posts:

1)Canada is great. I think going as a group would be kick-ass.

2)I have been reading Million Dollar Blackjack, and I am convinced that at our betting size now, a Big Player operation is a great idea. Whether it be Canada or Tulalip or Skagit, or Oregon, or Vegas... it doesnt matter. We sacrifice a little per player/per hour, but I feel like the "heat" factor will be much easier to deal with, and I think it could be VERY profitable. Uston has stories of doubling his bankroll in 6 days, then again in 13 days. OK, I think these may be unrealistic goals, but I also believe that we are really missing out on some great opportunities by not doing it.

3)A shuffle-tracking class is an excellent idea, and if we go up to Canada I can talk to Richard Reid. He might be willing to host us at his house. He has every publication imaginable on the subject, plus Shuffle Trak 2000 Software, and two blackjack layouts complete with shoes, cards, discard tray, and chips.

4)I am thinking that posting on BJ21 should be off-limits whether it be on our normal handles or any other handle. The board is definitely patrolled by casinos, and there really isn't much to be gained by it (there's a lot of extraneous BS on that board). Perhaps we could have a policy that any person wanting to post on BJ21 should post here first and get approval from the team. It's just an idea; wanted to get others input on it.

5)It may be too late, but I would rather that Vancouver does not get posted on Green Belt either. Richard Reid asked me not to say anything to anyone else about the games, and I think that's fair that he requested that from me.

6)Emerald Queen will have double deck in their high roller pit within a week. It is true. I spoke to a blackjack dealer there and he said they have had the class going for over a month now. I don't know what the rules will be, or pen for that matter. But this could be huge news for us, so let's keep this super-top-secret, and if anyone is in the neighborhood, drop by there and scout the game out. Maybe this will cause Muckleshoot to do the same.

7)Only Rob and I have been barred from Suquamish. The shoes are very trackable, and still cut very well in general. The progressive 21 game would be the best to play because it is 6 decks, but I think Tracker Boy, and Shrdlu (with some shuffle tracking training) could have a lot of fun and profit there.

8)I'm just stream of conciousness venting ideas here... so bear with me.

9)Chinook Winds in Lincoln City, Oregon has double-deck dealt out of a shoe (someone at Suquamish told me that last night). Oregon has a couple casinos that have double deck, and I have heard some very good 6 deck games. If anyone is to head down that way, let us know. We may be missing out on a lot of great opportunities by not going down there.

All right... thats all for now...

Uston's game

Great news about Emerald Queen! I am not too far from there if I leave from work.

BP'ing in Canada? Sounds good, but we should practice signals and that sort of thing IN PERSON first. Also, I think each of us uses a different count, so it might be difficult to just "hand off" the table to the BP; the counter who brought the BP in might even have to stay and keep counting.

I don't know if you've been following my postings on BJ21, but I've basically been engaging in a disinformation campaign of late, saying that I was somewhere when really I had been there two weeks earlier, or complaining about conditions based on someone else's report (when Paul was in town and played Suquamish), or whatever. I doubt it matters, but what the heck. I'm considering posting a "last will and testament" retirement announcement soon, too. :-)

Dave, you MUST read these comments in the context of the times. The game was very different when Uston was doing this sort of thing -- little or no pit knowledge, single-deck games dealt to the bottom, that sort of thing. You're also ignoring events like the one where his team lost its entire bankroll in one afternoon of play ("We run into a buzz-saw" chapter of Uston on BJ, I believe).

Ooops...

I guess you misunderstood me. I don't have any... I mean any, thoughts that we would have results like that. I am just inspired by the results that we can achieve. Believe me, theres a lot in Uston's book that isn't quite on the mark.
