Anybody know if Nikon is deveolping an upgrade for the CP 950 yet? I don't wanna buy a 950 if they're going to be releasing a newer camera soon. THANKS!

Jody, I have no insight into Nikon's development schedule, but it seems unlikely that they would release replacement product for at least 6 months to a year. The Nikon CP 950 has started to reach stores in quantity. It was only release in Feb or Mar and has been in limited supply. Check out the online stores and find how many are out of stock. Of course if you wait another 6 months, then the xxxx will be cheaper. Just fill in xxxx with any digital product.

Just think of all of the super pics you will be missing. Don't forget to buy some chargable batteries - 2 sets with charger or you will get only about 2 hours of fun with your new toy. And a bigger card... I got a 32 meg and it has been fine. I also got a PCIA adapter for only $10. Just pull the card, stick into the adapter and load the pics into the computer... the card works as a little disk drive. Be sure you have lots of disk space too. I got 12g for only $180. Have fun!

Last year they did an "S" version of the 900 around this time. Maybe this year they'll do a 950S with some slight improvement? Perhaps not, since they seem to have been putting so much effort into this new 800 and the D1.
